"Mother Tongue" by Amy Tan was the first sheet I read in this class (You can read this essay in the category "class reading"). Her narrative gave me a chance to think about Broken or fractured English. Nowadays, English is not anymore only a possession of English speaking countries but a communication bridge for all part of the world. In such a circumstance, it is problematic that only American English grammar, pronunciation and accent are regarded as unbroken English. We definitely need to look English as a World language.
